WHAHC 2025
Building on three successful editions in 2019, 2021 and 2023, we welcomed the community to the fourth edition of the World Hospital at Home Congress (WHAHC 2025) on 27-29 March 2025 at the Austria Center Vienna, in the charming city of Vienna, Austria.
WHAHC 2025 marked a clear step forward for the field. With delegates from more than 40 countries, the Congress was bigger, broader and more scientifically mature than ever before, reflecting just how rapidly Hospital at Home has grown since we last met.
The program captured a field coming of age. Where earlier editions were often descriptive, WHAHC 2025 featured deeper, more rigorous research, a wider breadth of topics, and growing participation from countries taking their first steps in Hospital at Home. From clinical practice and technology to policy, quality and workforce, the discussions reflected a shared commitment to defining and advancing acute care in the home.
Beyond the sessions, WHAHC 2025 reaffirmed its role as the only international forum dedicated to Hospital at Home – a place to present research, benchmark against global peers, and build the collaborations that continue to shape our field. From new national societies to the launch of a dedicated international journal, the real-world impact of bringing this community together has never been clearer.
